How is this course taught?
Most coding courses teach you to look up codes. That is not enough to pass the certification exam or to survive a quality audit at work. We teach clinical reasoning first: what the physician documented, what it means clinically, which guideline applies, and why one code is correct and another is not. Every topic ends with chart-based practice on de-identified records so that you learn from the kind of documentation you will see on the job.

What is in the medical coding syllabus?
Module 1: Medical terminology and anatomy
Word roots, prefixes and suffixes; each body system's anatomy, physiology and common diseases; reading abbreviations in clinical notes. This module is extended for learners without a life science background.
Module 2: US healthcare and the revenue cycle
How US healthcare is paid for: Medicare Parts A, B, C and D, Medicaid, commercial insurance and Medicare Advantage; the CMS-1500 and UB-04 claim forms; NPI; the path from patient registration to payment; denials and why they happen.
Module 3: ICD-10-CM diagnosis coding
Structure of the Alphabetic Index and Tabular List, conventions (excludes notes, code first, use additional code, "with"), general and chapter-specific guidelines, and outpatient guidelines (Section IV). Updated for the fiscal year 2027 code set effective 1 October 2026.
Module 4: CPT procedure coding
Evaluation and management (E/M) using medical decision making and time; surgery by body system; anaesthesia; radiology; pathology and laboratory; medicine section; category II and III codes.
Module 5: HCPCS Level II and modifiers
Drugs, supplies and durable medical equipment codes; commonly audited modifiers such as 25, 59, the X{EPSU} modifiers, 76, 77, 79, 51 and anatomical modifiers, and when each is appropriate.
Module 6: Compliance, ethics and HIPAA
NCCI procedure-to-procedure (PTP) edits and medically unlikely edits (MUEs); National and Local Coverage Determinations (NCDs and LCDs) and medical necessity; HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and the minimum necessary standard; OIG compliance guidance and enforcement; the False Claims Act at a practical level; AHIMA Standards of Ethical Coding and the AAPC Code of Ethics.
Module 7: Chart practice and mock exams
Specialty-wise case practice, timed mock exams in the certification format, and review sessions focused on the questions most learners get wrong.
Module 8: Job readiness
Resume writing for RCM employers, the coding assessment test most companies use in interviews, HR and technical interview practice, and guidance on your first 90 days as a coder.

How long does the course take?
The core beginner program usually takes about three to four months with regular classes and daily self-study. Learners without a life science background may need a few extra weeks for anatomy and terminology. Certification preparation after the core program typically adds four to eight weeks, depending on how quickly your mock exam scores rise. Advanced tracks vary in length.
What does the medical coding course cost in Jaipur?

You receive a course completion certificate from us. This is a training certificate, not a professional credential. Professional credentials such as CPC or CCS are awarded only by AAPC or AHIMA after you pass their exams, and employers value those most.
Is the syllabus updated for 2026–2027?
Yes. The course follows the fiscal year 2027 ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS code sets effective 1 October 2026 and the current CPT code set, and we update materials when new codes and guidelines are released.
